OVERLOOK OF CHAMA RIVER

A small turnout west of Abiquiu has this view of the Chama River.  Geological layers are exposed where the river cuts through.  Artists are aware of this location at least as far back as Georgia O'Keeffe.  It is a quick dodge off the road to see this and the view to the east where the Chama River crosses a more gentle path lined in fall with brilliant autumnal golden yellows, orange and evergreens.
